wow!! i just won a giveaway for a fabulous $40 gift certificate for the Etsy store DiningOut - it was kindly hosted by DesignStyleGuide, an excellent blog for making your life infinitely more trendy and fashionable!

i have been drooling at all the items on here, somehow trying to pick out which ones i loved more... the embroidery work is so fantastic, and cute! the pillowcases are adorable, the giraffe ones were my favorite. or the shrimp ones... or the bird in a tree...

well, you can see how hard it was, right? in the end, i picked out a lovely linen towel with a poetic message in pink on it (i want my son to enjoy this one), and some beautiful damask hand towels, and am hoping that they can be custom made to be black and white! they will probably be the most refined items in my house, certainly in my bathroom... wow, slowly but surely i might become a civilized human being. thank you so much for this lovely surprise!

SEQUIN EARRINGS GIVEAWAY!

ok! i finally managed to capture a few decent photos of this lovely, bold pair of sequin earrings that i am giving away to one lucky winner! this delightful pair is made of copper toned wire, yellow/red glass seed beads, and sequins of golden yellow, aqua blue, and metallic red. they are just over 2.5" long. make a statement for the holidays! i will be collecting entries into an actual bowl - to be drawn on December 5th, 2009 (yep, just a few days away). there are several ways to get your name in there multiple times - see rules below. the one thing i ask, for the sake of accuracy, is that you comment HERE with all you have done, links, posts, etc. yay!

incoming GIVEAWAY!

i've been watching (and submitting for) many giveaways on Twitter and blogs galore. 'tis the season to give, right? i've tried compiling a list of giveaways on my blog, mostly by asking my fellow tweeters to message me about their promos, though the response has been less than stellar (in fact, non-existent!). the only way i can find these out is to hunt for them myself, but that is very time consuming! let's face it, giveaways are a great way to spread the word about what crafters create, and it gives us the opportunity to have others do some advertising for us. so in the spirit of capitalising on the season, i will be having a giveaway of my own in the next couple of days. check back soon so you can see what i've picked out!

loopy for hoopy!

ok, i am seriously obsessed with creating jewelry with hoops. geometry was always my best math subject! so lately i have been wire wrapping funky color bead combinations into handmade shapes of various sorts, making pendants, earrings, necklaces.... here are some photos as samples of what is currently for sale in my stores. seriously, i put the "O" in OCD.

  

 

 

 

oh the pressure!

so my mom-in-law wanted me to make some earrings for 5 of her coworkers. she gave me their descriptions and a little bit of their personalities, and i made, made, made! here's what i cam up with in the last week... whatever she doesn't purchase is up for grabs on my store sites.

because Blogger is still a pain in my ass, and i can only create decent looking tables on this website if i do some crazy HTML modifications i don't have time for, i will just post the pics below and hope to the goddess the format doesn't suckle the marrow out of life, or eyeballs, or design-sensitive people.

rings and things

oh my god, this Blogger website is retarded. i've been updating photos and uploading into default Blogger web albums, and for some reason, i cannot directly link to them THRU Blogger. i really wish i could bitch slap some people upside the head. so many deserving folk go unabused. yes, i am a chipper crafter. well, flaming bling comes with an equally flaming attitude - touche!

so without further ado, these are some pics of some of my cocktail rings that have been recently listed on my Etsy page. i am working on listing on another site, 1000Markets, but have not yet been approved. i have different rings listed on there than on the Etsy site, to avoid possible redundancies. believe me, i cannot re-create these rings, tho i can aim to make similar ones - maybe! i make a lot of these with whatever fabulous odds'n'ends beads i have left.

now i must spend the rest of my day networking on Twitter, this blog, Etsy, and other jewelry websites. because this is my full time, currently non-paying job, for which i neglect my kid and hubby! hey, at least jewelry doesn't sass back and throw stuff. ugh. humans.
